A Night in Ruin

I was out for a nice dinner with a friend. Normal pub food, nothing fancy, but as long as it tasted like food I would have been happy. So have pint there, had a drink at lunch too. We don’t feel like going back home so we text someone he’s down at a bar with live music. He is of course excited as both my friend and I are extremely engaging individuals. We head over, get to the door, I realize I had given my ID to a friend. Soooo fucking lame. So I said it was alright and headed home alone. Just sucks when something happens spontaneously like that but it ends up being for nothing. Sounded like fun too, at least I get to study, which is obviously such a better option.

What was annoying was I hadn’t thought anything about needing my ID when I gave it, and I had gotten drinks at other places without even thinking about it. I’ve always been so used to bringing it everywhere and now I realize how not being of age can cut someone off from so many things. Once you’ve had it, it sucks to have it taken away.
